Pakistan vs Bangladesh Series 2019-2020:
After a long time, Pak vs Ban is playing a cricket series. This tour of the Bangladeshi Team consisted of two phases, the first phase was of One Day International and T20 International Series. Whereas, the second phase included only Test Series.
This time Bangladesh Cricket Team visited Pakistan to play Test Matches, One Day International, and T20 International Matches. This tour was a result of long-lasting negotiations between the Pakistani Cricket Board the Bangladeshi Cricket Board. In the past, the Bangladeshi Cricket Team denied the Pakistani Tour by citing security concerns.
However, Zimbabwe and West Indian Cricket Team paid a visit to eliminate this hurdle. No doubt, the Pakistani Government eradicated terrorism in their decade-long struggle. While the credits of restoration of Cricket in Pakistan also go to Sri Lankan Cricket Board, which stood shoulder to shoulder every time with Pakistani Cricket Board. They maintained their mutual cooperation by sending their team to Pakistan for full-fledged series.
Previously, Pakistan used to play their home series in UAE. Where they tackled Australia, England, and New Zealand in a number of matches. Whereas, the dramatic start of the Pakistani Cricket Team in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 also lead to a number of suspicious campaigns on Social Media like it was the similar start of the 1992 World Cup and they are going to win this world cup.
Pak vs Ban1st Test:
Rawalpindi Cricket Ground hosted the first Test of Pakistan vs Bangladesh on 7-10 February 2020. Pakistan won this match by 44 runs.
Bangladesh was all out at 233 runs in the first innings. Mohammad Mithun of Bangladesh scored 63, while, Najmul Hussain Shanto scored 44 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi of Pakistan took 4 wickets on 53 runs and Haris Sohail took 2 wickets on 11 runs.
In the first innings, Pakistan was bowled out on 445 runs. Shan Masood of Pakistan scored brilliant 100 runs, while Babar Azam 143, Haris Sohail 75, and Asad Shafiq 65 respectively. Abu Jayed of Bangladesh took 3 wickets on 86 runs and Rubel Hossain took 3 wickets on 113 runs.
Bangladesh scored 168 all out in their 2nd innings and they go all out. Skipper Mominul Haque scored 41 runs and Najmul Hussain Shanto scored 38 runs. Nasim Shah and Yasir Shah of Pakistan took 4,4 wickets each on 26 and 58 runs respectively.
Pak vs Ban 2nd Test:
The second Test of the Pakistan vs Bangladesh Test Series will be played from 5-9 April 2020 at National Stadium, Karachi.
ODI Series 2019-2020:
Pakistan vs Bangladesh has to play the only ODI at National Stadium, Karachi on 1st April 2020. The whole world is facing the shocking effects of COVID-19 (Corona Virus), which is proved fatal for the economies of a number of countries. It is uncertain to say whether Bangladeshi Cricket Team completes the remaining part of its tour to Pakistan in April or not. It might be rescheduled for a later time.
T20i Series 2019-2020:
Pakistan vs Bangladesh took each other for a nail-biting T20i Series on 24th, 25th, and 27th January 2020. Gaddafi Stadium Lahore hosted all the T20i matches. Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 2-0 in three matches series. One of the matches was abandoned due to bad weather in Lahore.
Pak vs Ban 1st T20i:
The first T20 between Pakistan and Bangladesh was played on 24th January 2020 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Bangladesh, batting first, scored 141 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in their quota of 20 overs. Mohammad Naim of Bangladesh scored 43 runs on 41 balls and Tamim Iqbal scored 39 runs on 34 balls. Shadab Khan of Pakistan took 1 wicket on 26 runs and Shaheen Shah Afridi of Pakistan took 1 wicket on 23 runs respectively.
Pakistan chased the target on the loss of 5 wickets in 19.3 overs as they scored 142 runs. Shoaib Malik was the top-scorer with 58 runs on 45 balls and Ahsan Ali scored 36 runs on 32 balls. Shahiful Islam of Bangladesh took 2 wickets on 27 runs and Al-Amin Hussain took 1 wicket on 18 runs.
Shoaib Malik of Pakistan was declared “Man of the Match”. He scored a brilliant knock of 58 runs on 45 balls. He hit 5 fours with a strike rate of 128.88.
Pak vs Ban 2nd T20i:
Pakistan vs Bangladesh also played the second T20i at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Bangladesh scored 136 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Tamim Iqbal from Bangladesh scored 65 runs on 53 balls and Afif Hussain scored 21 runs on 20 balls. Mohammad Hasnain took 2 wickets on 20 runs and Shaheen Shah Afridi took 1 wicket on 22 runs.
Pakistan scored 137 runs by losing only one wicket in 16.4 overs. Muhammad Hafeez of Pakistan scored a brilliant knock of 67 runs on 49 balls and Babar Azam remained second top-scored with 66 runs on 44 balls. Shafi-ul-Islam of Bangladesh took 1 wicket on 27 runs.
Pakistan took a lead of 2-0 in the series.
Pak vs Ban 3rd T20i:
The Heavy rain washed out the third T20i of Pakistan vs Bangladesh. Resultantly, Pakistan took a lead of 2-0 in the T20i series. Moreover, One ODI and 2nd Test match have to be played. Therefore, this series is still an incomplete tour.
